CAS-ual Friday's Stamps March Release Day - 2

Hello friends! Its a new release time at CAS-ual Friday's and I am super excited about the day 2 release as the stamps and dies are so pretty!! Today we are releasing the Stamp set "Twinkle" and coordinating "Star Fri-dies", the star stamps are with the stitch lines and they look so cool.
So here are my cards... again I ended up creating two cards :) My first card showcases a fun way to use the dies.

To make this card, I created the inked panel with stripes made by masking and distress inking. Then I die cut the stars along the edge and laid them on the card base, with some foam dots to add dimension with the smaller star and the panel and the bigger star was sandwiched without any dimension. I finished the card with some sparkling clear sequins (from PPP). I am sharing this at A Blog Named Hero - Bright and Bold

I then had to make another one because I wanted to showcase the stars on a dark background, here I used heat embossing. So here's my card...

To make this card, I took a black card stock panel cut a circular edge on one end then marked the biggest star with a pencil to serve as a guide for my stamping. I then stamped the stars along the masked lines with some embossing ink and heat embossed them with silver embossing powder. I also added some star sequins, heat embossed the sentiment. To finish the card, I dry embossed the metal sheet (from Add a Little Dazzle) and laid it all together, I am sharing this at Virginia's View #13 - All things embossed and 613 Avenue Create #114 - Anything Goes

CAS-ual Friday's Stamps March Release Day - 1

Hello friends! Its a new release time at CAS-ual Friday's and I am super excited about this release as the stamps are oh my my!! so very amazing. Today we are releasing the Stamp set "Happy Mail" and coordinating "Mail box Fri-dies", a set with a fabulous mail box image, awesome sentiments and gorgeous font. You will love it.
So here are my cards...this time I ended up creating three cards :) My first card is all stamping and water coloring to build the spring scene.
To make this card, I stamped the mail box in distress inks, and went over with a water brush to spread the colors. Then I water colored the background, stamped some greenery using CAS-ual Friday's Casual Comfort stamp set. I also did some masking to stamp the envelops inside the mail box. I am sharing this at Stamping Royalty #270 - Water color

For my second card, I went only with the envelop to create this..

To make this, I created 3 masks for the envelop, Then I masked and stamped the emvelops starting from the base and upwards. Next I fuzzy cut these along the edges. I colored them in pastels using Spectrum Noir markers. On the card base, I adhered a patterned paper and stamped the flag of the mail box that will serve to hold my sentiment banner. I added the envelop piece with some foam tape to finish the card.

I couldn't resist creating a third card which is a Christmas card after seeing the mail box, after all Mailbox is important as we get all the happy mail in it LOL. So here's my card...
To make this card, I took a white card stock panel, and used a stencil to create the background with some distress inks. I colored the tree with water colors. Then I stamped and die cut the mail box. dis some masking and stamping to fill in my mail box with some envelops and gift box for which I used the Merry Kiss-mas set. I colored it all and stamped the sentiment to finish my card.

There are some amazing cards created by the Design team to check out by clicking HERE. I will be back tomorrow with a couple of cards showcasing yet another fabulous stamp set and die :) Stay tuned!!

CASEplorations #2

Welcome to a new CASEplorations inspiration post at STAMPlorations. On the first of every month, the STAMPlorations girls share CASEs of some of our favorite cards - maybe even one of yours. Be sure to stop by the blog  for the second installment of CASEd inspiration.

CASEplorations will serve as a starting off point for our Inspiration Project Posts. We show you how we CASE a card so you can, in turn, CASE the inspiration cards we share throughout the month. You can find more details HERE.

Our second artist is none other than the very  creative talented Loll Thompson of Stamping with Loll. I love all that she creates from mixed media, to CAS, to water colored cards :). So let me show you her beautiful card and my CASE...

I was inspired by the background pattern and colors in Loll's card, here is a closeup into my card.

To make this card, I first stamped the roses from STAMPlorations Bee's Knees Rosebuds , masked it and then stamped the pattern on the background using STAMPlorations Vignette: Retro Mod shapes stamp set with Delicata gold ink. Finally, I colored the roses, also stamped the leaves and finished the card by adding a die cut sentiment sent by a sweet friend :) I am sharing this at The pink Elephant #287 - Anything Goes and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!

Hope you enjoyed it. Check out the amazing CASE creations by our team, HERE
