STAMPlorations Spotlight - Bloomdala Bliss and Ethnic India!

Hello friends! I am up with a spotlight project over at the STAMPlorations blog. I hope I will be able to inspire you. Today, I am playing with the newest stamp club set "Bloomdala Bliss" When I saw this stamp first thing that occurred to me was my ethnic Indian sarees. So, I went with that same idea and tried to capture the bright colors and gold in the sarees. I even have sarees in these two shades :) Let me show you...

STAMPlorations Stencil Blog Hop - Helen G. Designs!

Hello friends! Today over at STAMPlorations we are celebrating addition of a new stencil line "Helen G. Designs" illustrated by our very own team member Helen Gullet. Her stencils are absolutely awesome and I have been a great admirer of her cards and mixed media projects for long. Her stenciled creations are always amazing. I am so glad that I get to play with her very first designs.

Let me show the projects I made... I used the stencils in three different ways to get three unique backgrounds :)

For this card, I Distress inked the stencil, sprayed with water and laid it on card stock panel. Once dried, I die cut a rectangular frame. I added Make a wish die cut sentiment, stamped another half of my sentiment and accented it with enamel dots.

For this card, I inked the panel, laid the stencil over it and sprayed with water to get the textured background. I then stamped and colored the images and adhered them on this panel with foam adhesive.

Finally, I made a clean and simple card. Here I used the stencil the traditional way :)

I stenciled the dots partially. I stamped the flowers and did no line water coloring. I adhered them on panel and accented it with a strip of patterned paper.

I have used Make Marks 3, Make Marks 5 stencils, Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies, Make a Wish Phrase die, Kathryn's Big Wishes, Little Love Birthday Wishes [for sentiment], Lotus Love, Rise and Grind [for sentiment]. Gansai Tambi Watercolors and Prismacolor Pencils for coloring.

Let me show you my fourth Inspiration project for April 2019...

I decided to create a few simple gift tags. I stamped the images in different inks and die cut tags from patterned paper to match the stamped image. To finish, I stamped the sentiment. I have used Luggage Tag Nesting dies, Healing Herbs

Let me show you my third Inspiration card for April 2019...

I decided to go with more neutral and subtle tones for this card. I also wanted to include a coffee cup so I heat embossed and fuzzy cut it from a patterned paper. I stamped the leaves and roses along the edge and did some no line pencil coloring of the roses. To finish, I stamped the sentiment. I have used Coffee Happy, Wooded, Prismacolor pencils and Anna Griffin patterned paper.

STAMPlorations Spring Fling 12 Days of Giveaway - Day 12

For my card, I used one of my newest released stamp set "Wooded" 

I took a watercolor card stock and gold heat embossed the images along the lower edge, I also stamped the sentiment in gold. I used the stamp set "Fluttery" for that.

Let me show you my second Inspiration card for April 2019...

I wanted to capture the greenery that surround us during the spring time, so I made this one layer card. On a watercolor panel, I did multiple layers of stamping using both distress inks and dye inks. I also did a wash along the edges.. I have used Wooded, Woodland friends and Bloomdala Bliss [for sentiment]

Since the prize is from my stamp line I chose to make a card from the same, I used one of my newest released stamp set "Wooded" 

I kept the design simple by stamping [using Distress inks] the images along the lower edge of water color card stock and water coloring them.

To further accent the coloring I added some depth and dimension using Prismacolor Pencils. I also accented the roses with a touch of gold.

Let me show you my first Inspiration card for April 2019...

I loved the layered stamps designed by Shirley, it is simply fun to put these together. So for this one I stamped the leaves in some pastel tones. For the sentiment I used die cut frames. To add more interest I added twine and wood veneer hearts. I have used Layered Leaves, Faerie Door and Pierced Curly Frames/Tags Nesting Dies
