Love making cards :)

Hi friends! I am back with two more cards :) Usually can't help it... always end up in making a card when an idea hits me. Hope you will enjoy.
With me being on the Mixed Media Card challenge team, I tend to be inclined towards mixed media now. If you read the definition, you will know that we have been making a lot of mixed media cards even without realizing :) Here's a new card with the same theme Touch of Nature. Don't forget to play along with us at MMCC #1 In this one I used stamps, inks, embossing powder and water color technique :) So here's my card...
To make this card, I masked off the lower edge of the card and heat embossed the trees in black. Then I took the Distress ink pads and brushed them directly on my water color card stock. this followed some water spray and wash to create a sunrise :) the embossing resisted the water colors and resulted in a subtle BG.

And now another one, this is inspired by the Retrosketches #122, Color Q #248, Cure for Monday Blues #23 and House of Cards July challenge - Bow. To make this, I did some stamping of sentiment hexagons on card base. Added the die cut sentiment, heart and butterflies to finish the card. Finally, tied a bow with a twine :)

Supplies used Card 1 - Inks: Versamark ink, Memento Tuxedo black, Distress Barn door, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard seed; Stamps: STAMPlorations Vignette - Tree Silhouettes, Bird from Prima cling stamp set - Printery; Whisper Black embossing powder; Darice heat too

Card 2 - Inks: Hero arts Shadow ink Pool, Mint Julep, Fresh peach, Distress mustard seed; Stamps: Pink Paislee sentiment series; Dies : Nestabilities heart dies and love diecut sent by a friend; Punch Butterfly from Darice and Twine from my stash

    Deepti, beautiful as always. I about fell off my chair when I saw your sunrise...it's just amazing. The black trees and birds really emphasize it. Your second card is so sweet. Love the colors and how you've used the sketch. Two amazing cards. Bev

    Stunning work of art on your first card, Deepti! I love the vibrant colors and how you created your scene...it's just so beautiful!
    Love how you placed the hexies on your 2nd card, and how perfect the die cut word is with the hexagons in the background...such a lovely font! You never cease to amaze me with your talent!!!

    Awesome, Deepti!! Your sunset look on the first card is spot-on (I have a card for tomorrow that looks very similar, but I PROMISE it was created last week!!) And the yellow on your second card is such a fun, unexpected color addition. Love 'em both!
