Hello friends! Today, I am here both to celebrate Fusion One year Anniversary and for a goodbye to Fusion friends. I have completed a full one year with Fusion and I am so gonna miss this lovely team of talented ladies. I am stepping down due to some family commitments. I want to thank Lesley for bringing me on board, bringing together the best of the Fusion challenges for us and for all the love and support. I also wanna thank my lovely teamies for their awesome inspiration and lovely comments :) I will be catching up with all of you in the blog land :)
Now let's get back to the challenge, my card and a very special thing planned by Lesley to make this One Year Anniversary celebration a memorable one. Lesley came up with this amazing idea that each of the DT member invites a Guest Designer and tell everyone why we picked them :) Let me first show the challenge photo...
Isn't this pretty!! Before I show you what I created, I will tell you about my amazing Guest Barb Ghig of Barb's Studio Creations. I chose her because I love her CAS style, the serene and soothing cards that she designs, the soft colors that she picks and for the wonderful person that she is. I have always loved her style and another amazing thing about her is the encouragement that leaves in her comments. I am so glad to have you as a Guest Designer at Fusion :) Thank you Barb for being here ! Please check out her amazing creation HERE. Now let me show what I created...
I was inspired by the photo, to make this card I stamped the jar (from TAWS Buggin out set), stamped the hearts (from CFS In the cards set) in shades of pink to fill the jar. Fuzzy cut the jar. I also stamped and fuzzy cut the banners (from Recollections Valentine Banners) In Hero Arts wet cement ink. On the card base, I added a chalkboard patterned paper (from Studio Calico Print shop 6x6" Paper pad) and adhered the banners and jar with some foam dots. To finish the card, I added the twine. I am sharing this at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!
There is a lot more inspiration available for you by our lovely team. Go and check out :) Also, for more details about the challenge please visit Fusion Card Challenge

To make this card, I took a rectangular panel for my focal piece. I crumpled some tissue paper and adhered it with some glossy Mod Podge. I used a partial tree lines die from MFT to cut the trees for the landscape. I then inked them with some distress inks. To make my sun, I used embossing paste (Wendi Vecchi) mixed with some Mustard seed distress ink and a Crafter's workshop stencil. I then adhered the tree line with some foam dots, stamped the sentiment (STAMPlorations - Bloom set) and hand drew the birds. I then cut out a kraft card stock to add on the card base and laid my focal piece over it. Here is a closeup in to the textures...
There is a lot more incredible inspiration by a versatile and uber talented team :) Please head over to our challenge blog to check out the details of the challenge and some more inspiration. I am sharing this at Showcase your style #5- Use a die cut

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Deepti! Love the hearts in your jar ... I'm guessing one of the inks was a pigment ink and the other dye-based due to the neat coloring you achieved when they overlap. Wonderful! I will certainly miss seeing your fantastic cards in the fusion gallery, but at least I still get to work with you on CAS-ual Fridays. Big Happy New Year wishes to you!!
