Flowers and more flowers...

So, I am back with another set of cards... I don't know if this happens to all or not but yesterday when I sat down to make some cards with a few challenges in mind... my creativity zapped. I couldn't make a single card, ideas just disappeared and the result I was all low, demotivated. But I guess, a new day brings new wave of passion. So here I am inspired...

So my first card was inspired by the colors at Color Q#209 and guess what CAS(E) this sketch #48 gave just the right sketch. So here's my card...
To make this I cut out a panel of white card stock, inked (Memento Dye inks) it up with the three shades from the challenge. On another card stock, I hand drew the flower and inked it up. I then stuck the flower on this panel. Then cut out this panel into three sections, just the way we make canvas art and stuck them on card base as per the sketch. The sentiment (from Paper Sweeties you make me smile set) was stamped.

Now to my second card... I was inspired by the Photo Inspiration challenge at House of Cards, by the sketch at Less is more week - 139 and by the Tic-tac-toe challenge at The Paper Players #165 ( I used embossing, pearls and Thank you). Here's my card...
This card made complete use of craft supplies I have... I used the sizzix circle dies to cut out the circle fom cork board, I punched out the flowers and leaver from my Picture Punches. I scored lines to emboss the background using my Martha Stewart scorer. Did some inking to match the table cover in the photo. Added pearls to finish my card.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving me ur lovely comments :)

  1. Hi Deepti, this happens to me all the time-I want to make cards and my mojo goes for a little break, then suddenly I see something and Miss Mojo returns. I also get a bit down when creativity escapes me (silly I know). I love the inking in your first card, perfect blending and such a cool take on the sketch. And the scored lines in the second is what attracted my eye-love it x

  17. You are not alone there - missing mojo is most upsetting! I find that my mojo goes on the missing list as soon as I HAVE to make a card i.e. for an occasion where I have no time! It looks to em like your mojo has made a real comeback though as these cards are stunning - as usual! :)

  25. I had a very Mojo-less day today. Just about managed to make 2 cards in about 6 hours and they weren't that fussy either! Just felt like everything was in go slow mode, so I know exactly how you feel! Anyway onto your cards - both are gorgeous, but I love your interpretation of the House of Cards photo this week. Thanks for joining in the challenge this week at House of Cards.
