ATCAS #38 - OFF THE EDGE

We are back with a new challenge at Addicted to CAS . The code word for this week is OFF THE EDGE and the challenge is being hosted by our very talented Marie.  When I saw the code... I knew exactly what I wanted to create. So here's my card...

 

To make this card, I stamped the bold sentiment on a piece of card stock and scored it at various places to create a box like look, here "my sentiment is going off the edge" :) Rest I built everything around it from creating a notebook page to adding embellishments and some stenciling.

Fusion #10

Hello friends!! time for another Fusion :) I am sure you all enjoyed the previous challenge, we loved all the entries and really had a hard time picking up the winners :) Now let's see how hard will you make it for us this time ;) So here's the Fusion inspiration n sketch for you...

FUSION is a very interesting, it gives us a photo and a sketch, so possibilities are endless with the freedom given in the challenge. You can just work with the sketch or just photo, in my case I went with the photo inspiration, I tried real hard to create a Fusion but two of my initial cards made their way into the trash, So I decided to go with the colors and created this...

For my card, I did some distress inking and masking to create the background and then added this die cut of tall grass from MFT. A sweet friend of mine keeps sending me some crafty goodness and this die was a gift from her and hence I want to dedicate this card to her :)

More cards to share...

I am back again with a couple of cards, I was inspired by a few challenges and had to play along.

So here's my first card...

I was inspired by the photo inspiration at Call Curtain - Pretty and pink, by the sketch at the Sketch Saturday #308 and by the Moxie Fab World's - Handwriting challenge. Making this involved Inking and the heat embossing the panel followed by embellishing it with a hello die cut (sent by a friend), some stamped butterfly and sequins.

 

My second card is purely the display of idea I had :) I wanted to show how stitching can attach two pieces together. So here's my card...

I was inspired by the theme at Virginia's View #3 - Stitching, Cue card at CASology Week 94 - Metal (I have done sewing and sewing is done with a metal needle ;) For colors I was inspired by the Runway Inspired challenge #59 - J. Mendel and for sketch I again used Stamplorations bi weekly sketch challenge :) Making this was easy, I cut the panel diagonally, Inked it up green outside and black inside. made holes on each panel and sewed in the thread, rolled the panels giving them some dimension and adhered them on card base. Finally, I added the spool, needed and some button to finish my card.

ATSM #94 - CAS

We have a wonderful new challenge for you this week at Addicted to stamps and more... Addicted to CAS. We all know what clean and simple is right? It's all about the design, not the technique,  not the tools, not the embellishments. It's all about the design uncluttered, lots of white or open space and one main focal point and here's my card....

To make this card, I did some masking and stamping of cupcakes, followed by partially heat embossed sentiments which are represented as candles on my card. The final stamping was done with some dots to create the glow from each candle n rings stamps to build a BG.

Guesting at Catered Crop Button up recipe swap!!

Hi friends!! Today I am guesting for the Catered Crop Button up recipe swap. I won the previous challenge and got a chance chance to design with their lovely team. The challenge is to use a button on ur creations or alternately share how you store ur buttons :)

Well, I don't really have a lot of buttons, just a little container has it all. So I guess there's no point showing how I store the buttons ;) instead I created a card. For me buttons are cute and cute reminds of kids and hence I decided to create a baby shower card :)

To make this I scored the panel, used die but circles to create mom to be. did some stamping and inking on the mom's dress. Added buttons to create the belt of the dress and stamped and fuzzy cut the banners. Adhered it all together, sentiment was hand written :)
