ATCAS #40 - TRANSPORT

We are back with a new challenge at Addicted to CAS . The code word for this week is TRANSPORT and the challenge is being hosted by our very talented Karen. I would like to welcome a very talented Guest Designer Karen D. with her amazing creation.  Her style is very unique, you will love the way she makes the beautiful backgrounds on her cards. You can see her projects by clicking here, Snippets
Our sponsor for this challenge is StampArt Designs :) Winner will get 5 digis from the store.

For my card, I wanted to show movement and also incorporate a very very adorable monster :) Well, this is the cutest monster and has been created by my friend and ex Team mate at ATCAS Christine Drogt :) Christine has started her own stamp company "Create A Smile". The specialty about her stamps - they are cute, funny and punny. Indeed they will bring a smile when incorporated on ur card :) You can get this Monster and Birdie freebie at their blog.
Check out the blog Create A Smile by clicking HERE
They also have a FaceBook Page, check it out by clicking HERE
I wish Christine all the very best in her new venture :) Hope you like my card, Christine :)
To make this card, I stamped the truck multiple times without re-inking it to indicate movement. The monster freebie was printed and fuzzy cut and colored with pencil colors. I then adhered the monster on the truck, stamped some hearts and hand wrote the sentiment.
I am linking this up to a few challenges -

Our DT has come up with some amazing projects this week. Pop over to our ATCAS challenge blog here and take a peek. I am looking forward to the challenge this fortnight and am very excited to visit your blogs.

Have fun in creating CAS card :)

I also create a second card, inspired by a few challenges. Also, I wanted to incorporate a Subway Art Builders - Dare stamp from Stamplorations Company, I won at CASology. I love this stamp :)
To make this card, I stamped the sentiment stamp on the card base, and also on another piece of card stock. I then punched out these flowers from this piece. Added layers to thicken them up and laid them over the sentiment on card base.  Finally, I added some score lines to mimic the lines on the MUSE card by Vicki and added twine and pearls to finish my card :)

For my Nephew !!

Okay, I am back because... of course to share a card. But this one is real special to me coz I am sending this for my nephew who will be turning 2 in June. When I was in India last year, I was able to spend some good time with him :) I even taught him how to make sounds of a few animals, LOL. It was so much fun and now he talks to me on phone and says just two words "come soon", oh I miss him so very much :)
So I decided to make a card that is both bright and interactive for him to play with :) This is not a kind of card, I would usually make but for my cutie pie, I can make an exception :) here's a shaker card for him...
To make it, I created an underwater scene on the shaker base by inking and sticking some die cut plants. stamped and cut out fishes. I cut out the frame and wrote Happy birthday all around it. On the card base I stamped a few flowers and adhered the shaker. To add more interest I added a few star fishes and a crab on the frame. I hope he will enjoy :) Here's the photo of my nephew :)
That's him when I was in India :) A surprised look in one and in another he seems to be thinking deeply :) Though I wonder what an 18 month old might think ;)

I was inspired by a few challenges -
1. Seize the sketch #21
2. Color Q #244
3. Time out Challenge #7 - Summer

FUSION is a very interesting, it gives us a photo and a sketch, so possibilities are endless with the freedom given in the challenge. You can just work with the sketch or just photo, in my case I went with the Fusion, I was inspired by the colors and the BG text so I created this...
For my card, I stamped the birthday banner stamped multiple times in colors inspired by the photo. The inspiration image has a text BG, for my card I decided to bring it to the forefront through my text stamped balloons. I adhered the balloons and stars and hand drew the strings to finish my card :) I am linking this up to the following challenges -
