Guest Designing at City Crafter Challenge Blog !!

Hello friends! Today I am Guest Designing at the City Crafter Challenge Blog - Week 244 and I am so excited about it :) I won the challenge #239 and was invited over to Guest Design with the talented team of CCCB. The Inspiration image is soooooooo pretty, I had so many ideas but was inclined towards one design the most. 

The challenge is Winter white - use white with touch of neutrals or pastels. Let me show you the inspiration image and my card...

To make this, I cut out a tag and stamped it with stripes stamp. On another piece I heat embossed the daisy, fuzzy cut it and lightly inked it with pastel pink. Next, I die cut leaves in vellum and white card stock. On the tag, I heat embossed the sentiment. I also, dry embossed another panel with birds on wire folder and laid it all together :) Easy!

Celebrating Winnie & Walter with a Card overdose ;)

Well, I am sure you all have heard about the amazing birthday bash at Winnie and Walter Blog, They have turned "ONE" and are having one hell of a party. Check out the awesome challenges they have put together... HERE

With rest of my DT work light, I decided to get creative with some never before used Winnie & Walter stamps. This is a long post as I have plenty of cards to share. I have used three stamps sets V for Chevron, The big, the Bold and Blessings and The big, the bold and the Happy

My first card was inspired by Gradient challenge with Vanessa and Color Combo challenge with Heather. To make this I inked the panel in Distress inks (Peacock feathers and Pumice stones, creating a gradient. Next, I heat embossed the big chevron with some pearl embossing powder, cut each chevron out and adhered it on card base with some foam dots.

I heat embossed the sentiment on vellum in silver and fuzzy cut it. Finally I added some mint stars to finish the card. Also linking this to Shopping Our stash #183 - Use something New and Stampin' Royalty #261 - Birthday's, Seize the birthday - Anything Goes

My second card is inspired by the Mood board challenge with Lea, I took a water color panel and heat embossed the tiny chevrons in gold. Next I create a water color wash look with Distress Picked Raspberry. I then stamped the sentiment, Diecut the edge and adhered with with some foam dots on card base with some pattern paper forming the lower edge. I also added some fowers to finish the design. For my third card, I was inspired by In Rotation Technique challenge with Kelly . Here again I used the chevrons to create my flowers and leaves and added some pattern paper for the green land. I sure had fun making this one a lot :D I am also sharing this with Virginia's view #11 - Clean Slate and Crazy4 challenge #267 - CAS

For my next set of cards I was inspired by One challenge with Shay, For these two cards I wanted to keep the theme as nature, I have used one stamp set and one single stamp in these respectively.

I used a stencil to create the sunburst (sent by my sweet friend Loll, thanks a ton) masking the lower edge. Then I masked the sunburst part and inked the lower panel in green. Stamped the sentiment in black and hand drew the birds. Also linking this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Something New (I showcased a New day and used a New stamp)

For this card, I wanted to create a beach with sand and wave and the foam that the wave has when it hits the beach :) I did masking and inking for this one. I stamped the sentiment Hello in wet sentiment to give the look of words written on sand :) Hope you like the idea. I am also sharing this at Time Out Challenges #22 - Hello

My last card was inspired by Collage challenge with Laura, for this one I simple stamped the bold chevron in min ink, fuzzy cut it, took a wood grain pattern paper panel and adhered the chevrons at an angle. Heat embossed the sentiment and added some glitter on the chevrons, to finish the card I added the wood veneer hearts. Also linking this to 613 Avenue Create #105 - Anything Goes! and Darnell's NBUS #3

STAMPlorations Bi-weekly Sketch Challenge #25

Hi friends! Its time for a new sketch challenge at STAMPlorations Bi-weekly Sketch Challenge #25. This challenge ends on January 16th  and the winners would be announced on January 21st 2015. We have a very talented Guest Designer Kim M joining us for this challenge. She makes amazing cards. You can check out more of her creations at her blog Art Keeps me sane

Let's get to the sketch and my card...

To make this card, I used Bloom Sketches .I used patterned paper (Studio Calico Print Shop 6x6" paper pad) to create the panel. Stamped the poppies and colored the stems with white gel pen, I stamped the poppies again on another piece of the same patterned paper, fuzzy cut it and adhered it on card base with foam dots. To finish the card, I added twine (from Twinery), wood veneer arrow and stamped the sentiment.

STAMPlorations - January Challenge STAMPS & INKS

This is my second post for the day, please click HERE to check my post on CAS-ual Friday's Stamps January Release - Day 3

It's time for a new challenge, STAMPlorations - STAMPS & INKS :) eek! that's easy. So many possibilities, use plain and simple stamping or incorporate techniques with various inks. This challenge ends on January 31st, so you will have plenty of time to play along, The winners for this challenge will be announced on February 2nd. And this time we have even  more goodness in terms of prizes. You can read more about the prizes on our challenge blog, HERE. I would also like to welcome our Guest Designer Tenia, she creates the coolest and the trendiest of the cards. You will love what she created for this challenge. Now let me show you what I created...

So that's my card using Stamps and inks. When I saw inks, I right away decided to use alcohol inks. I used two shades of ink to create the panel, I roughly tore it apart. On the card base I stamped the butterflies in two tones, adhered the paenl with some foam adhesive and stamped the sentiment with white pigment ink. I used STAMPlorations - Trendy Butterflies . To finish the card I added sequins.

CAS-ual Friday's Stamps January Release - Day 3

Hello friends! Its Day 3 of the new release at CAS-ual Friday's . Today we are giving sneak peeks into the Stamp set "Smitten", I love the sentiments in this set, a perfect collection, a perfect mix of some amazing sentiments

So here are my cards... as usual I ended up creating two cards :) you will see more from these sets in my future posts :D

To make this card, I adhered a panel of patterned paper on card base (using Studio Calico Print Shop 6x6" paper pad). I took a smaller panel of white card stock and stamped the Chevron (from CFS Zigs & zags) in different colors. On the upper part I stamped the sentiment and added a circle with embossed sentiment and inked base using a twine to finish my card. To make this card, I used the chalkboard technique, I laid down the sentiments on a stamp press and heat embossed these on a black card stock with white embossing powder.  I stamped the heart love note twice  (using CFS Love notes) in pigment inks with the lighter pink offsetting the darker one. I used white pigment ink for some chalk smudges. On the card base I added a panel of patterned paper (from Studio Calico Print Shop 6x6" paper pad) and then added the chalkboard panel. Finihsed the card with some wood veneer hearts (from Studio Calico)
