This challenge ends on September 30th, so you will have plenty of time to play along, The winners for this challenge will be announced on October 2nd. I would also like to welcome our Guest Designer Cris G I am sure you know her already, she creates some of the most creative cards. Her designs are both beautiful and out of the box. You will love what she created for this challenge. Now let me show you what I created...

So that's my card using Stamps and Sharpie markers for coloring. To make this card, I stamped the image from Bloom sketches and colored it with my markers. Next I fuzzy cut this in such a way that the panel is cut in half but still is connected by the poppoies. Next I adhered it on a tran[arent card base. Added some pattern paper butterflies. To form the inside of the card, I added a blue pattern paper. I am sharing this at Color Q #257, Freshly Made Sketches #152City Crafter Challenge blog #227 - I see clearly and at Word Art Wednesday #148 - Anything Goes!

The inspiration from out team will blow u away :) You can check all the details about the challenge and the inspirations by clicking HERE.

ATSM #111 - Anything Goes for Marie!!

Hello crafters, its time for your favorite challenge at Addicted to Stamps and more... ANYTHING GOES !! But this challenge is really special. We are doing a linky party for our sweet teamie Marie at ATCAS. She is such a sweet heart but these days she is not keeping well. Her leg is troubling her a lot. So, fabulous Kylie and Darnell master minded this idea to do a linky party to send our wishes and healing thoughts to herI so love the fact that we are such a close knit virtual family :)

The challenge is anything goes with an optional twist of Get well/ thinking of you card. For me sun/ sunshine/ sunflower are good indicators of get well wishes :) I hope this card and my wishes will bring a new sunshine and healing for Marie :) Get well soon honey!

This is what I created...
To make this card, I took a water color card stock panel, stamped the sunflower from STAMPlorations Bloom sketches in Distress ink. Next I took few more color like orange and brown of Distress ink to water color the sunflower. It is easy to water color with distress ink. I enjoyed doing this as this was the first time I tried water coloring after stamping the image. Anyways!! Next I did some green water color wash to indicate the leaves. Stamped the sentiment and adhered the card stock on a striped pattern paper :)  I am playing this for the following challenges  CAS(E) this sketch #90 Case Study Anniversary week #4 , at Case Study I was inpired by Jill Foster's card (Of course her card is way too good!!)Simon says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes!

Mixed Media Card challenge #3 - Autumn colors

Hello and welcome back to my blog, this my second post for the day, please click HERE to check my post for Stamplorations Bi-weekly sketch challenge #19

Time flies so fast, we are already through with two challenges and now heading to another fun challenge at The Mixed Media Card Challenge. My excitement for mixed media is grown deeper coz there is so much to learn and experiment with, read about mixed media definition HERE and u will know what I am talking about.  Actually, I am enjoying my mixed media experience. So let's see what our challenge is and what I created...
Autumn colors with an optional element of metal/ leaves.... hmmmm.... for me autumn colors are definitely best seen through the leaves :) I have incorporated mixed media but managed to keep it CAS. Also, this time we have an awesome sponsor Add a little dazzle :) a random winner will win a $15 Gift certificate to use towards product in their store :)

So, here's my card...
I so enjoyed creating this card. To begin, I stamped the leaves on a glossy card stock and then I colored them with alcohol inks. I used Memento ink coz it does not reacts with alcohol inks and this preserved the stamped outline and effects on the leaves :) then I fuzzy cut the leaves. On the card base, I clear embossed the text BG and did some emboss resist inking. Next I stamped the birthday sentiment banner using distress inks again on glossy card stock, it gives fab results :) Finally, I adhered the elements and punched out some butterflies from blue metal sheet. I am linking this to a few challenges Freshly made sketches #151, Color Q #256Seize the birthday - Anything Goes! and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!

Edited to add : Curtain Call - Lovely leaves

There is a lot more incredible inspiration by a versatile and uber talented team :) Please head over to our challenge blog to check out the details of the challenge and some more inspiration.

STAMPlorations Bi-weekly sketch challenge #19

Hi friends! Its time for a new sketch challenge at STAMPlorations, Bi-weekly Sketch Challenge #19. This challenge ends on September 12th and the winners would be announced on September 14th. We have a very talented Guest Designer Carol joining us for this challenge as well. She makes amazing cards. Welcome back Carol! You can check out more of her creations at her blog Just Me :c

Let's get to the sketch and my card...
To make this card, I stamped flowers from Bloom Sketches on a white card stock, fuzzy cut and colored them. Next I took a panel of white card stock and cut it out using a border die, creating a vertical window. On my card base, I adhered a blue pattern paper and then used foam adhesives to layout the rest of the elements. I finished the card with stamping the sentiment on a fish tail banner. I am entering this card to a few challenges - Color Throwdown #307Simon says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Anything goes! and to Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes!
