ATCAS #85 - Inlaid Die Cut(s)

We are back with a new challenge at Addicted to CAS . This time the host of the challenge is very talented Sarah and she has chosen the code word... Inlaid Diecuts. This is one of my very favorite technique, i makes you card look so delicate and fantastic. Plus this time it is even more special to me as I had recently bought a butterfly diecut and never got a chance to use it :) this code word gave me a perfect opportunity :)
You will win a $15 Gift certificate from our fabulous sponsor Happy Little Stampersstamps
Here's my card...

To make this card, I die cut the Memory box butterfly on a white card stock. I also inked a glossy card stock with some alcohol inks and die cut it again. Then on a black card stock I added some white splatter, laid the outline die cut of the butterfly in white on the base and then inlaid the colored pieces into it. To finish the card I stamped the sentiment (from STAMPlorations - Fond Expressions)
Here are a few more clicks...

I am sharing this card at Color Throwdown #386, City Crafter challenge blog #305 - Whitewash, Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes! and Less is more #270 - White space but not white

It's time for CASEplorations inspiration post at STAMPlorations. On the first of every month, the STAMPlorations girls share CASEs of some of our favorite cards - maybe even one of yours. Be sure to stop by the blog  for the fourth installment of CASEd inspiration for 2016.  You can find more details HERE.

Our artist for the month of April is the fabulous... Donna Mikasa of Three umbrellasShe needs no introduction, we all love her bright and colorful card style :) So let me show you her beautiful card (click HERE to see her original post) and my CASE...
I got inspired by the colors and layout in Donna's card, here is my card...
I started out by masking and stamping lotus n leaves (using Dee's Artsy Impressions - Lotus love). I then colored it with Prisma Color pencils. To finish the card I hand drew the border and adhered a die cut sentiment gifted to me by a sweet friend. I also added some black sequins.
Here's  closeup into my card :)
I am sharing this at MUSE Challenge #159 - Jenni Murray (the card below is the gorgeous card from Jenni ) Addicted to stamps and more #187 - Make your Mark and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!

Let me show you my fourth Inspiration card for March 2016...
To make this card, I die cut the frame (using SSS Double stitched rectangle dies) and the branch (using Impression Obsessions - Bare branch die) on white card stock. I then light marked the branch on card base where I wanted to stamp my flowers and leaves. Then I stamped the flowers and leaves in mint and green ink (using Dee's Artsy Impressions - Frames and Flowers) To finish the card I stamped the sentiment and adhered the die cuts.

ATCAS #84 - Delicate

We are back with a new challenge at Addicted to CAS . This time the host of the challenge is very talented Ksenija and she has chosen the code word... DELICATE. A perfect code word with huge possibilities in terms of theme or stamp that you might wanna use... like a butterfly stamp.
You will win a $15 Gift certificate from our fabulous sponsor Happy Little Stampersstamps
For me delicate reminds me of babies and their delicate touch :) So I decided to make a CAS baby card. Here's my card...
To make this card, I die cut the white panel (using SSS Stitched Rectangle dies) and a cloud (using Memory Box Cloud dies) On the card base, I added washi tape at the lower edge, stamped the baby feet on the cloud and sentiment on the panel (using ME Nursery Deco) and adhered it all on the card base. To finish the card I added some die cut hearts (from CFS Lovely links Fri dies)
