Fusion #14

Hello friends!! time for another Fusion :) Our previous challenge with CASE(E) this sketch was a huge success, we loved seeing all the creative takes on Fusion. Now let's see what will you make this time ;) So here's the Fusion inspiration n sketch for you...
FUSION is a very interesting, it gives us a photo and a sketch, so possibilities are endless with the freedom given in the challenge. You can just work with the sketch or just photo, in my case I went with the Photo inspiration, I was inspired by the floral print and stripes so I created this...
For my card, I stamped the flowers and the leaves on the card base, then I created masks for all the stamped flowers and leaves. Then I did stamping of these broad stripes to mimic the look of the dress. I also used a ruler and a marker to create the narrow lines on card base. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment and the added sequins. I am linking this up to the following challenges -
There is a lot more inspiration available for you by our lovely team. Go and check out :) Also, for more details about the challenge please visit Fusion Card Challenge

I am entering this to a few challenges as they were my source of inspiration -

To make the focal panel, I used a glossy card stock and alcohol ink to create the water like appearance. I stamped the card base with gray stripes, adhered the focal piece with some die cut that represents coral reef and added a star representing the starfish. I wanted to keep the nautical theme inspired by colors and theme and Muse card. To finish my card I stamped the sentiment and added the sequins.

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #1 - Touch of Nature!

Hello and welcome back to my blog, this my second post for the day, please click HERE to check my post for CSCC #5

Okay! finally the day has arrived :) I am so happy and excited to be on the Design Team of a brand new challenge The Mixed Media Card Challenge. Ah! can't tell u how happy I am... This challenge is the brain child of very talented and an expert in mixed media cards Shery Russ, who also owns a wonderful stamp company called STAMplorations  :) When Shery had posted a DT call for this challenge, I applied and to my surprise I was selected. Thank you so much Shery for bringing me on board :) I am excited coz there is so much to learn and this will bring out a whole new style to my cards, read about mixed media definition HERE and u will know what I am talking about.  So let's see what our first challenge is and what I created...
Touch of nature.... hmmmm.... for me nature revolves around the sun, so I had to incorporate the sun :) I have incorporated mixed media, yet kept my card CAS. So, here's my card...
To make this card, I first heat embossed this bird stamp set, then to make the sun I used a stencil and a modeling paste. I added some acrylic paint to color the modeling paste in yellow. Next I inked around the sun with distress ink and stamped the sentiment.
I am linking this to the following challenges -
1. CAS(E) this sketch #82
2. Catered Crop Summer lovin Recipe Swap
