Guest Designing for The Alley Way Stamps - Day 3

Hello friends!! I am so excited to be the Guest Designer for The Alley Way Stamps for the month of November :) Today is the day three.  I love their sweet and cute stamps. They are perfect to create the kind of cards/ projects which are sure to make you smile.

Today I have my second card and I created this using the Petal pushers. The idea focuses on the sentiment "Bloom" which I have depicted on my card :)

To make this card, on a white card stock panel, I heat embossed the big petal and tiny little flowers in clear embossing powder and then I inked the panel with Distress inks Picked raspberry, Victorian velvet and Chipped sapphire. On the card base I scored some lines starting with broad lines at the base and gradually reducing the width to the top. To finish the card I added the sentiment and some punched butterflies. ATCAS #52 - Sketch

Here's my card...

To make this card, I die cut the vine and flowers (CAS-ual Friday's - Casual vines and 4 petal Fri-dies), colored them and arranged them with a woodgrain pattern paper panel. To finish the card I added some stitch lines and stamped the snetiment.  I am sharing this card with Color Q #267, Seize the birthday , Stamp & Fun #224 - CAS and The Pink Elephant #276 - CAS

Twelve Tags of Christmas... Day Twelve

Hello crafters, today I am Guest Designing for a very special event organized by very talented Loll of Stamping with Loll. Today, is the last and final day to this wonderful event called "Twelve Tags of Christmas". I am sure this event provided for loads of Mixed Media inspiration :) Besides, you also get to play along and share your beautiful tags and get a chance to win a $40 gift certificate from the event sponsor STAMPlorations :) The Event linkup ends on Nov 16th, so you have a couple of days to share your beauties.

* For this event, Mixed Media is defined as stamps + ink, plus two other elements which add texture and/or dimension.

So, let me show you what I created :)By the way my tag looks inspired by the Event graphic but let me assure you, that this was made way before the graphic was finalized LOL

I used a lot of texture and dimension for my tag... I am showing the closeups first. The glossy diagonal lines are translucent embossing paste, applied by the stencil. The gold foliage is a die cut done with metal sheet and the shimmer on Poinsettia is perfect pearls. Also I stamped the poinsettia twice to create dimension by layering.

The background of the tag shows distress inking, stamping of the sentiment BG in the same shade of green, some water splatter and perfect pearls for poinsettia stamped on the BG. 

And here is the final look... The final touches involved adding ribbon, some embellishment and some sequins. Sadly, I couldn't capture the shimmer in this photo :(

ATSM #121 - Anything Goes !!

Hello crafters, I am glad that you all played along with us in our previous challenge and now its time for your favorite challenge at Addicted to Stamps and more... ANYTHING GOES !! I am sure you all enjoy this challenge as much as I do, it gives us an opportunity to explore so may unlimited ideas. So, get going and create what your heart desires. This is what I created...

To make this card, I to a white panel slightly smaller than  card base in width. Next I die cut the balloons from this, I will use the negative die cut. I also die cut the balloons from pattern paper. On the card base I added a vertical panel on stripes and then laid out the patterned paper balloons. On the white panel I stamped the sentiment, hand drew the strings and adhered it on card base with some foam dots. I am playing this at  CAS(E) this sketch #99, Cure for the Monday Blue Challenge #34 and The Cutting Edge Challenge #14

CAS-ual Friday's Stamps feature - Tags!

Hello friends!! Today I am here for CAS-ual Friday's Stamps  feature post. For this post I thought it would be good to create some Thank you tags for the Thanksgiving :) which is right around the corner.

I created set of four tags using the CAS-ual Friday's Funky Square Tag Fri-Dies and CAS-ual Friday's Casual Vine Fri-Die , CAS-ual Friday's Amber Waves Stamp set

And here is the closeup into the tag.... to show the inlaid technique used.

To make these tag, I did some in laid die cutting of the vine die over the smaller square from the set. I used Tim Holtz watercolor card stock for inner piece. Colored it with Distress inks as water colors. Stamped the sentiment and added the ribbon of coordinating colors as that of the fine.
