ATSM #73 - HOLIDAY

This time ATSM team decided to start a new series of challenge titled "Holiday", so the challenge this week at Addicted to stamps and more... HOLIDAY opens for you a wide range of ideas, from projects for any festive holiday or for some holiday destinations or whatever comes to your mind when think about holiday... There are numerous possibilities. Here's what my interpretation of Holiday is...


For me holiday is having fun and then i thought about the way people tend to enjoy their holiday's. Then I decided to go with kite flying and hand drew the kite and it's string spool, fuzzy cut each and inked them. I stamped some circles and dots (from Inkadinkadoo Dots and Flourishes stamp) to create a whimsical sky and land. Then stuck the kite and the spool with foam dots connecting them with a hand drawn string. Sentiment was stamped (from Paper Sweeties). I kept the card CAS by using two colors. Hope you like my card.

    I like your take on the challenge. When I was a kid, I remember going out with my Opah and flying kites - brings back memories of wonderful summer holidays - thankyou! Love the colours and graphic style stamps.

    Hi Deepti! I always look forward to seeing what you've been drawing. One day I will be reading a post on your blog showcasing the stamps you have designed! Your sketches, like this one, are always spot-on, but in a different way. Like how you've shown the kite as being something other than a diamond with a cross through it. Lovely!
