We have a wonderful new challenge for you this week at Addicted to stamps and more... Addicted to CAS. We are celebrating womanhood this week with Woman's day on March 8th. You can interpret this in many different way from colors to theme. And we have just the right Guest Designer to honor this theme, Darnell from Djkardkreations, who is very popular among most of us not only for her amazing cards but also for her brilliant fun writing skills :) If you don't know her yet, trust me this is the time... you will love visiting her :)
For my card I wanted to focus on the fact that women should think themselves to be the free birds who have the right to dream and wish BIG :) so here's my card...
For my card I wanted to focus on the fact that women should think themselves to be the free birds who have the right to dream and wish BIG :) so here's my card...
To make this card, I used a stencil I bought from Walmart (yeah!! u often get good stuff for cheap there) and inked it up with Hero arts Fresh peach ink. This stencil is symbolic of the bricks or barriers that we/ women have to cross over :) Then I gold (Ranger fine gold embossing powder) embossed the stars (from My mind's eye set) The bird (from Michael's) was stamped in the same ink and fuzzy cut. I die cut a few stars using Momenta Star dies, and adhered everything on card base. Sentiment is from Paper sweeties.
There is a lot more lovely inspiration from the DT, Please visit our challenge blog here. The winner will receive a wonderful prize from our sponsor this week StampArt Design by Kathryne. Take a peek at their store here
I am excited to see what you will come up with ....
