Happy birthday Darnell !!

Today is Darnell's birthday and I guess I don't have to tell who she is :) So we all, her followers and her friends decided to throw her a birthday party. And how are we celebrating her day of course by doing something that we are best at :) making cards!! She is one gem of a person who brings smile to our faces and this card is my way of telling her, how much I appreciate her and how lucky I feel to have found her. I want to thank her for appreciating my cards time and again, visiting my blog and leaving me her sweet comments :) And on this special day, I wish all the love and happiness for her :)

Hope u will like my card Darnell, I made it yesterday and since I usually make card after being inspired by the challenges, I created this one -
I am entering this to a few challenges as they were my source of inspiration -
  
To make the focal panel, I used a glossy card stock and alcohol ink to create the water like appearance. I stamped the card base with gray stripes, adhered the focal piece with some die cut that represents coral reef and added a star representing the starfish. I wanted to keep the nautical theme inspired by colors and theme and Muse card. To finish my card I stamped the sentiment and added the sequins.

    Deepti, I like the focal panel you created, to me it looks a gorgeous water marble effect, only difference I do it for my nails ;), and let me tell you you have nailed creating the water like feel ...totally awesome :D

    Oh Deepti! This is one stunner of a card! It nearly had me in tears!!! It's utterly gorgeous. Our delightful Miss D. is going to love this one. And what a wonderful post/toast to dear Darnell. Poor thing is going to go through an entire box of tissues after today, lol!!
    This card is a winner in every single challenge, and in my heart and mind too. That, and D. will be so tickled when she sees it. So glad you partied with us! Bev

    I really love the color combo, and how you incorporated all the challenges for your design and theme...Love the pattern you created with your alcohol inks, too! I feel badly that I don't have a card to post, as I didn't know about the 'Birthday Party' before I put her card in the mail to her...oh, well!
