Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Darnell
Happy birthday to you!!!
Today is Darnell's birthday and I guess I don't have to tell who she is :) So we all, her followers and her friends decided to throw her a birthday party. And how are we celebrating her day of course by doing something that we are best at :) making cards!! She is one gem of a person who brings smile to our faces and this card is my way of telling her, how much I appreciate her and how lucky I feel to have found her. I want to thank her for appreciating my cards time and again, visiting my blog and leaving me her sweet comments :) And on this special day, I wish all the love and happiness for her :)
You too can join the party and link up ur projects at Ardyth's Blog Maskerade, she and Bev of Happy dance are the master minds behind this party. Thank you for inviting me over :)
Hope u will like my card Darnell, I made it yesterday and since I usually make card after being inspired by the challenges, I created this one -
I am entering this to a few challenges as they were my source of inspiration -
To make the focal panel, I used a glossy card stock and alcohol ink to create the water like appearance. I stamped the card base with gray stripes, adhered the focal piece with some die cut that represents coral reef and added a star representing the starfish. I wanted to keep the nautical theme inspired by colors and theme and Muse card. To finish my card I stamped the sentiment and added the sequins.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment.
Supplies used - Inks Adirondack Aqua; Memento Tuxedo black; Hero Arts Soft Granite; Dies - Sizzix circle die; Li'l inkers stitched circle die cut; Casual Friday's Tree die; Momenta Star die; Stamps - TAWS Crossing lines, Martha Stewart All occasion sentiment set; Neat and tangled sequins; Pattern paper Sn@p color vibes
Deepti, I like the focal panel you created, to me it looks a gorgeous water marble effect, only difference I do it for my nails ;), and let me tell you you have nailed creating the water like feel ...totally awesome :D
