Time for another mixed media delight with fun challenge at The Mixed Media Card Challenge #11 - WINGS. You can also join in the fun irrespective of your style!! Read about mixed media definition HERE and u will know what I am talking about. So let's see what our challenge is,
WINGS with an optional element of Foil.... This is what I created.
To make this card, I took a water color card stock, I added some colored crackle paste using the sun burst stencil and let it dry. One dried I colored with water colors. Then I stamped the butterflies and did some mixed media grunge stamping along the edge. I took a die cut butterfly, inked and stamped over it and layered half of it with another die cut butterfly. To finish the card I stamped the sentiment and adhered it all together :) I want to thank Loll for sending me this fabulous sunburst stencil and another sweet friend for the lovely die cut :)

There is a lot more incredible inspiration by a versatile and uber talented team :) Please head over to our challenge blog to check out the details of the challenge and some more inspiration.
My second card today is for CASEplorations inspiration post at STAMPlorations. On the first of every month, the STAMPlorations girls share CASEs of some of our favorite cards - maybe even one of yours. Be sure to stop by the blog for the third installment of CASEd inspiration.
CASEplorations will serve as a starting off point for our Inspiration Project Posts. We show you how we CASE a card so you can, in turn, CASE the inspiration cards we share throughout the month. You can find more details HERE.
Our artist for the month of May is none other than the very creative and artsy, known for her fabulous designs Kim Makortoff of Art Keeps Me Sane. I am a big fan of her creative and artsy designs, you will fall in love with her beautiful cards. So let me show you her beautiful card (click HERE to see her card) and my CASE...
I was inspired by the design concept of Kim's card, here is my card.
To make this card, I first stamped the rose bud from STAMPlorations Blossom Overture in white pigment ink. Also shaded it with white pastel pencil. Then I heat embossed the sentiment using STAMPlorations Big on words - MOM To finish the card card I added some white embroiderer floss.
