ATSM #77 - MAKE YOUR MARK

We are back with another favorite challenge at Addicted to stamps and more... MAKE YOUR MARK to welcome the new year. This is a challenge that requires you to use Markers, Pencils, Pens, Textas, Chalks, Crayons etc. If it writes or colours - use it! I am sure you love coloring as much as I do :)
Also, we have a very talented Guest Designer Gemma, I loved her card... I am sure you would too. Take a peek into her blog Gem's Little Creations

For my card, I used Sharpie Markers :) I was inspired by  a few challenges to create this card.
I used my stencils to write the alphabets of the word "world", fuzzy cut them and colored them with my markers. I then added a little gold streak on these using gold gel pen. On the card base, I stamped these circles n dots from Inkadinkadoo - dots n flourishes set. Hand drew the tiny hearts and wrote the sentiment "my". I printed the paint brush from the Freebies available at TAWS, fuzzy cut and colored. Stuck all the elements together using foam dots.

The challenges are -
1. TAWS Be Inspired Challenge #45
2. CAS-ual Friday's #125 - IN A WORD
3. CAS(E) this Sketch #58

There is a lot more lovely inspiration from the DT, Please visit our challenge blog here. The winner will receive a wonderful prize from our sponsor this week Deedee's Digis. Take a peek at their store here

I am excited to see what you will come up with ....
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving me a comment :)

ATCAS #29 - DIE-CUT(s)

It's the very first Saturday of 2014 and we are back with a new challenge at Addicted to CAS . Here's wishing you a very Happy New year !! and for all our dear CAS lovers the code word this week is DIE-CUT(S) selected by our very talented and amazing Loll. She is also the host for this challenge.
We also have brilliant Guest Designer Nancy Littrell. Nancy loves creating CAS cards, so we know you'll enjoy seeing her designs!  You can see her gallery of work at Splitcoast Stampers by clicking here.
Our winner will get a wonderful prize from our amazing sponsors Deedee's Digis

I am sure you all have plenty of Die cuts in your stash and also the dies, I wanted to use these star dies and embosser set I bought from Hobby Lobby. I simply love the embossed star. So here's my card...

To make this card, I was inspired by a few challenges Colors from Color Q #222, sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch #58, and theme at CASology Week 76 - PARTY and also theme at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - SOMETHING NEW. Yep a lot of challenges ;)

I stamped the clock (from Prima Stamp set) and created a look of clock tearing out of paper to show the arrival of 2014. I embossed and diet cut the star, lightly inked them with Hero Hues Chalk ink - Night. On my card base, I sprinkled Recollections gold glitter. Stamped celebrate (from Stamping up) with Archival Black ink. stuck all the elements together.Golden stars are from my stash :)

Our DT has come up with some amazing projects this week. Pop over to our ATCAS challenge blog here and take a peek. I am looking forward to the challenge this fortnight and am very excited to visit your blogs.

Have fun in creating CAS card :) with ur favorite die cuts and thank you for visiting my blog.

FUSION Challenge - Jan 2nd, 2014

The day has arrived when I begin the new year 2014 on my blog with this very first post... so here's wishing you a very Happy New Year !! May this year brings you all that your heart desires :) My heart desires a lot of things, everything crafty :D, yeah!! that's the greedy crafter in me talking.
But at this time, my heart wants to thank some one very special, a friend, a well wisher who mailed a lot of crafty goodness for me just to make my new year much more creative :) Thank you so much. This card and many more to come will acknowledge my thankfulness to her :) and a big thanks to my husband for surprising me with a set of 20 washi tape plus a dispenser (from We are Memory Keepers). You just made my New year newer :)
FUSION is a very interesting challenge, it gives us a photo and a sketch, so possibilities are endless with the freedom given in the challenge. You can just work with the sketch or just photo but in my case I Fused the two.
To make this card, I scored the central panel using Martha Stewart score board. I inked up the feather die (sent by my friend) with Hero Hues Chalk ink - Night, the wood veneer hexagons (from Studio Calico) with Hero Arts Shadow Ink - Raspberry Jam n Chalk Ink - Poppy. I stuck the washi tape n rest of the elements together. Added the banner of sentiment from Paper sweeties. Finishing touches were added by twine and drops of ink.

There is a lot more inspiration available for you by our lovely team. Go and check out :) Also, for more details about the challenge please visit Fusion Card Challenge

I am also linking this up to the following challenges -

1. Crazy for CAS #34 - ANYTHING GOES!

Miss you my friends!!!

My dear friends, I am writing this post in the middle of my trip to India... well yes, I have been missing all of you and also the fun in the blog land for quite sometime, precisely from November. I know you are seeing my DT posts but they are all pre-scheduled and I haven't done any paper craft in such a long time :(

But today, I am here just to say a "BIG THANK YOU"  to all my friends who have been very kind and sweet to visit my blog and leave me their sweet comments, to all those who thought my creativity is worthy enough to be followed and to my DT at ATCAS, ATSM, Catchy Challenges and for being the sweetest team ever. I want to let you know that even though you don't see my comments on ur posts... I always try to take sometime out to admire your creativity :D Thank you for being my inspiration.

But creativity doesn't stop anywhere.... yep I am sharing something I learnt here in India from my Sister-in-law who runs an art school SHINY COLORS.... my very first oil painting.

Hope you will like this :) And yes, my trip will end soon and I will catch up with you in the new year :)
WISH YOU ALL A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

By the way I am enjoying my family time after two long years :)
