Love for White...

Hi my dear friends, I am back with a card for a few challenges again. This is dedicated to my love for white and also snow. So the WHITE at Less is More week -140 and Keep it Simple #24 reminded me of snow but sadly none of my ideas were coming to life. Yesterday, my husband asked what's happening at my card front and I was like my Mojo has gone dead and I cant create :(

He asked what are the challenges... I was like there is a challenge where white is to be used and that very instant he gave me a genius idea which is what I used in my card...

When my husband suggested me to create snow with deer foot prints, I started to think how can I do it and then I decided to use Modeling paste from Liquitex. To make what you see in my card, I hand drew the landscape with trees on my card base, cut out the negative space in the frame with my Exacto knife and then masked the rest of the card to apply modeling paste. I made foot print using a pencil tip while modeling paste was still wet. Some modeling paste was also added on trees to create the effect of snow. Once dried I colored my trees with Pastel pencils (from Derwent). Finally, to create a snowing sky in the background, I used a vellum and dabbed my white dye ink pad (from Memories) over it once. let it dry and stuck it from behind. My card is all set :) A big Thank you to my husband :)

Since I did some fuzzy cutting here, I will also play it for The Friday Mashup challenge #130

Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment :)

Addicted to Stamps and more... ANYTHING GOES!!

Hello crafters, its time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and more... ANYTHING GOES !! and I am sure you all enjoy this challenge as much as I do, it gives us an opportunity to explore ideas from within and not just those inspired by the challenges. So, you have so much explore, get going and create what your heart desires. Here's what I did...

To make my thoughts come alive, I decided to go with a variety of stamps but limited colors on my card. I chose light shades of blue and yellow with the neutrals of course. I created two stripes of the colors by masking and inking. Then I did some stamping using Inkadinkadoo - Dots and Flourishes stamps. Then I stamped the Flower (from Scrappy Cat Garden stamp)fuzzy cut and inked it lightly, I also stamped and fuzzy cut a butterfly (from Martha Stewart stamps) and stuck it with foam dot. Added pearls to finish.

Hope you like my card. There is a lot more lovely inspiration from the DT, Please visit our challenge blog here. The winner will receive a wonderful prize from our sponsor this week Nicecrane Design. Take a peek at their store here
I am excited to see what you will come up with ....

I am also linking this up to Flutter by Wednesday #255- Anything goes!! with a butterfly or fairy challenge :)

Have a SPOOK-tacular day...

Hiii, my dear friends, I am back with spooky card today... with Halloween all around, I thought it will be so not fair to not make a spooky card ;) And there are few challenges that gave me just the right inspiration.

I don't know if all of you can see it or not but while I was pondering over the inspiration photo at Curtain Call... I saw chevrons in the spider web and there you go, I created this card...

To make this , I used a scale n a pencil to create my spider web, I then used a black Sharpie marker to make the web. I used an X-acto knife to cut in between the web inspired by Friday Mashup. I added a colored strip behind the web to match the colors at RIC. I decided to turn my sequins into the spider. The legs and eyes of the spider were hand drawn. Finally, the sentiment was written :)

Here are the challenge images -

Flowers and more flowers...

So, I am back with another set of cards... I don't know if this happens to all or not but yesterday when I sat down to make some cards with a few challenges in mind... my creativity zapped. I couldn't make a single card, ideas just disappeared and the result I was all low, demotivated. But I guess, a new day brings new wave of passion. So here I am inspired...

So my first card was inspired by the colors at Color Q#209 and guess what CAS(E) this sketch #48 gave just the right sketch. So here's my card...
To make this I cut out a panel of white card stock, inked (Memento Dye inks) it up with the three shades from the challenge. On another card stock, I hand drew the flower and inked it up. I then stuck the flower on this panel. Then cut out this panel into three sections, just the way we make canvas art and stuck them on card base as per the sketch. The sentiment (from Paper Sweeties you make me smile set) was stamped.

Now to my second card... I was inspired by the Photo Inspiration challenge at House of Cards, by the sketch at Less is more week - 139 and by the Tic-tac-toe challenge at The Paper Players #165 ( I used embossing, pearls and Thank you). Here's my card...
This card made complete use of craft supplies I have... I used the sizzix circle dies to cut out the circle fom cork board, I punched out the flowers and leaver from my Picture Punches. I scored lines to emboss the background using my Martha Stewart scorer. Did some inking to match the table cover in the photo. Added pearls to finish my card.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving me ur lovely comments :)

Yippee!! I am now a part of the amazing ATSM Design Team

If you are looking for my ATCAS card, please click here ...

Looks like Crafting Gods are favoring me these days... I am sooooooooooooo excited to be a part of the amazingly talented Design Team at Addicted to Stamps and more... challenge blog. When ATSM posted about their DT call,I created a card even though using the colors of that challenge was so very difficult for me. Nevertheless, I entered my card with no hope of being selected :)
But to my surprise, I got an email from "the owner" Kylie telling me that she likes my work and would be happy to take me on board, I was like am I reading right or am I dreaming.... I guess I was not dreaming, coz here I am with my very first post as a Design Team at ATSM.  Woohoo!!! I want to cheer for myself ;)
I hope you will like my creations and be inspired :)

So, this week the challenge at Addicted to Stamps and more... is a Photo Inspiration. The photo has so many elements that will inspire you, the colors, the elements, theme...
Also, we have a wonderful prize from our Sponsor Nicecrane Design for the winner.

For me the inspiration to make this card was that unusual fruit on the photograph which had yellow and green shades. You will see it, if you closely observe the picture.
To make this, I first drew some light pencil lines to make my vertical grid using Martha Stewart score board. I then did some masking and inking to bring those shades. I then stamped the flowers (from Scrappy Cat - sunny days) on a white card stock, colored and fuzzy cut them. These were then stuck on the scored panel with foam dots. To add finishing touches, I hand drew twigs surrounding the panel with sharpie marker and added punched maple leaves. Sentiment (from Paper Sweeties - you make me smile set) was stamped.
There you go... my first DT card is all set :)

There is a lot more lovely inspiration from the DT, Please visit our challenge blog here.I am excited to see what you will come up with after seeing this photo ....
