New stamps and more !!

Hi friends, how are you all? I finally managed to take some time out to make a card with the new goodies I ordered from TAWS. I have been eyeing on the new release and few other stamps for a long time, finally I managed to buy them and make a card :) These stamps are so good, I have so many ideas flowing into my head with these stamps but due to shortage of time... I could make just one :) More to come soon...
Also, my dear and very popular Darnell from djkardkreations is celebrating a landmark of 500 followers on her blog by a NBUS #1 challenge. I am sure u know what NBUS is... its a cool term coined by Darnell - Never Before Used Schtuff :) She is one talented lady, if u don't follow her, I bet u r missing some real fun in life :) So I decided to join in her celebration with my new NBUS :)

I was inspired by the TAWS Be Inspired #53 photo inspiration to create this card.
To make this card, I did some inlaid die cutting. Stamped the heart with the rainbow colored crossing lines stamp. I stamped, colored and fuzzy cut the birdies and laid them on the card base over the heart. Stamped the sentiment and some diamond shapes to finish my card. Since this card has birdies and is CAS, I am linking this up to two more challenges

Also, thought I would share the things that I have been busy doing :) One is a water color painting of a bird, which I did coz I felt like... seeing water colors all around in the blog land. I hand drew the bird and then water colored it :)
And another is a canvas painting in Acrylics of Lord Ganesha, our Hindu God who brings prosperity and all things good in life. I made this one for my sister-in-law :) who recently got married. Hope she likes it!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment :)

  9. Oh, Deepti, your card is as adorable as all of your card and stamped creations. But I'm hopelessly in love with your watercolor bird. This cutie is so wonderful! The drawing, the layout, the color combination - everything amazes me. I just started an art journal with my own drawings and sketches a few weeks ago and I wish I could do something like this, too. Please share more of your paintings with us. Hugs, Sonja

  12. How honored I am to be in this post which features some of your actual art work not on a card! You have so much natural artistic ability! I love that you buy and use stamps, but I honestly think you could hand draw any image that you see on a stamp! I will see your work in an art gallery some day!

Your card, of course, is brilliant! What a sweet and bright and happy card for a lover, a wedding, or an anniversary - or for a nontraditional Valentine even! I absolutely love the sweetness of it!! Thank you so much for linking it up to my NBUS Challenge, for posting my button, and spreading the word! And thank you, too, for all those wonderful compliments that make me blush!! Mwah!! Hugs, Darnell

I really need to bring out my TAWS sets more often; thank you for the inspiration! Your two other pieces: oh my, but they are both beautiful! Your sister-in-law will love the painting you made for her; it's nothing short of thoughtful, heart-warming and stunning! I hope that her life is graced with prosperity (and yours, as well!!). Oh yes...your TAWS card, with the off-the-edge heart would fit perfectly into the Less Is More challenge. Scoot over and see what you think! I like the painting of Ganesha. I hope your sister in law does like it. I am fond of Ganesha, as he is the patron of writers among other things.
